I love this series; some of the best characters I’ve ever read!!!
Jewell picks up with the situation that is wrapped around the Bratva and the previous books in the series. The hacker that is connected to this is now taking it personal that Jewell has stopped all his attempts to continue to get into Guardian and is out for revenge.
Zane is brought in again to protect Jewell again since the hacker has made it personal against her. And with his own set of rules for guarding the computer wiz; much to Jason’s surprise.
It’s great to see how Jewell and Zane dance around the issues of their feeling and the way that Zane approaches a relationship with her. Explained only the way a computer wiz would understand it. Absolutely loved it!!! It was so cool how Jewell would think of things Jade told her and apply then to the relationship with Zane. The sex scenes were great and steamy as you would expect in a Kris Michaels book.
As the story moves forward, we find out much more about Zane’s past (which is awesome but I won’t give it away) and his relationship with Guardian staff and the King family members. It is also of note how we find out more about Jewell and how she interacts with family and co-workers. The show down between her and Nic is one for the record books and handled only the way Jewell could handle it.
I love how in the end we find out who the hacker is (I was surprised by the turn of events) and that Jewell is just as awesome, kind, loving and smart as I hoped that she would be. And that with Zane’s past, he is just a cool as could be.
Thank you to Kris for writing yet another amazing book in this series. I’ve read them all (need to do the reviews) and can not say enough about how great they are. I look forward to the next one and lets just say I really hope it’s headed the direction it looks like it is. If so, it will be epic!!!!
