What a fun read!!!! While yes, it’s true Professors shouldn’t engage in sexy activities with students but some rules are meant to be broken.
The introduction to the Blackwell series introduces us to some wonderful characters that are so thoughtfully written. We have Rose, the highly intelligent student and Cole the well, really hot Professor. We also meet Rose’s parents (who are in an odd arrangement) as well as Cole’s best friends (who we need to know going forward for the series).
While the Dean of students addresses the Professor’s before the beginning of the summer session, Cole being the new guy finds it a little hard to sit through the meeting. The Dean is openly flirting with him while her husband sits next to her. The meeting is about sexual harassment and sex with students. Interesting start to any book.
Cole starts to settle in with his classes and one of his students, Rose, brings an interesting proposal to him. He turns it down flat when she suggests it, but a chance encounter later and Cole is changing his mind. Sixty days to be a teacher to her on sex and sexuality, see she wants to be a sex counselor when she’s done with school.
Well, things start out like any odd agreement but quickly pick up steam. Rose is a quick learner but witness the Dean (ummm which is her mother) coming on to Cole. While things are going full force, hot and steamy with Cole and Rose, they do run into some rough patches as any couple would. We also have issues with the parental units that have to be worked through as well as friends adding their two cents
Things hit an odd high, when Cole attends a party where both the Dean and her husband come on to Cole and he’s so blinded by it, that when Rose walks in, there’s a huge mess that needs to be cleaned up. As things go, the parents are pissed and the Dean takes it out on Cole (right or wrong), dear old Dad goes off the deep end in a big way but somehow our wonderful author has us following him along and the right things finally happen for all involved.
We do get the HEA we are looking for and a wonderful look into a relationship with an older couple that you just fall in love with.
